Rome, part 1

While staying at Porto Touristica, David Duffy, Peter and I caught a commuter train into Rome for some sight seeing. David used to live in Rome many years ago, so he was elected our intrepid tour guide.

From the train station, we walked towards the Colosseum, then past the Forum up Via Dei Fori Imperiali to Vittorio Emanuele II. From there we wandered to Piazza Novono where we had lunch in a little outdoor cafe. The best pasta carbonara I've ever tasted.

From there on to the Pantheon, then to another little cafe in the piazza Di S. Eustachio for what David swears is the best coffee in Rome. I won't argue. Then an insane taxi ride back to the station, then the train back to the boat.
